Ethan is a brave boy!

I pulled Ethan's tooth tonight and he was much braver than I was at his age.
BTW, towards the end of this first clip Jade says "Lisa is the expert". He is talking about our neighbor who pulled one of his teeth several years ago while he was at her house one day.

We got it this time!

BTW, Kimberly was really worried Ethan was going to get blood on his white shirt. That's what she's yelling about at the end of the clip. His shirt was fine.

Tonight the tooth fairy comes!

Big Love? Fuggetaboutit!

As expected, the LDS church has taken the "high road" regarding the "Big Love" temple controversy that is all a flare in the media at the moment. Here is the official church statement regarding the issue:

I particularly liked this part in the press release:
“This isn’t 1830, and there aren’t just six of us anymore.” In other words, with a global membership of thirteen and a half million there is no need to feel defensive when the Church is moving forward so rapidly. The Church’s strength is in its faithful members in 170-plus countries, and there is no evidence that extreme misrepresentations in the media that appeal only to a narrow audience have any long-term negative effect on the Church.
The leadership in the church is wise.

I also liked this little clip about temples:

Day of LDS faith - from Harvard

I haven't done anything on my blog since I created it this past Christmas. I'm going to try and get back after it and I'll start with this item I found in my Inbox today. I generally hate "FWD.. fwd..." type emails but I found this inspiring.

My sister Lisa sent it to me with this note from her daughter Shae:

Hi Mom-
Sheldon sent this to me and I thought it was interesting. Rachel Esplin was someone I debated in high school at districts, she's from Blackfoot and now she's at Harvard. She's a really smart girl and represents LDS well. When I received my scores after districts Mr. Benson said I had lost to her by one point. HAHA

Love,
Shae

I'm very impressed with the personal convictions of this girl and her ability to articulate and express herself so well and so humbly. Her name is Rachel Esplin and she is from Blackfoot Idaho.

Enjoy!
